Berd's
Berd’s Hotel reached out for the restoration of an extraordinary 19th-century traditional wall rug originally from Căușeni.
The tapestry had areas that were very fragile due to its age, as well as sections that were fully damaged. To match the shades, we naturally began by dyeing the wool—a very interesting and creative process—after which we moved on to the actual restoration. Working on these areas first involved rebuilding the warp, followed by filling in the gaps with wool. Here is the final result. It was a process that brought us great pleasure.
Afterwards, we continued by preparing and dyeing the frame, which served as the rug support. Thus, the restored tapestry has regained its place of honour and can be admired today in the hotel’s restaurant.
By the way, if you haven’t stopped by yet, we warmly recommend trying their cuisine—you’re sure to have a wonderful experience.
Chesed foundation
The collaboration with Chesed, a foundation offering women a place of rest, healing, and restoration, grew from a shared vision of creating a space where every woman is embraced with love, compassion, and care. It involved creating a series of paintings inspired by the heart and purpose of the foundation, each one speaking to the women who find refuge within its walls. At the centre of this collection is The Woman at the Well, a painting inspired by the encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman. She came to the well at a time when she believed she could be unseen, yet Jesus was already there, waiting for her. He met her in her vulnerability, looked beyond her past, and offered her the living water of His love and grace. Her story is a reminder that even in our loneliest moments, we are seen, known, and deeply loved. Through this collection, I hope to offer each woman who encounters these paintings a gentle reminder that she is worthy of love, that restoration is possible, and that even in the most hidden places of her heart, she is never forgotten.
